I guess it is appropriate that I finish this three part blog post by showing off a project that has been taking up a lot of my time. Read the second post about what this project is. In a nutshell it is called Renew and it is what we are calling our holiday season. It’s focus is to Renew the way we see the holidays. We are focusing on local missions in our own community. I encourage to check it all out here.

Like any race there is an end and usually that last lap is the tough, stressful, and the most rewarding lap and I could not agree more. All the effort, planning and creating all boils down to this last moment seeing and hearing peoples response to what you have created. Now in this situation I hope the response is more about what we are doing rather than what it looks like. ( but I still like to hear that people think it looks cool;) ) I would say if everyone is happy, and you are communicating everything you win. Now another cool part of crossing that finish line is seeing all that hard work you put into creating things in a tangible way.

Here are the goods that went into this past weekend. Lets start with the printed materials. Here is the main booklet for the season. Everything but the fonts were custom created in photoshop. Later I will blog about how I learned to create that spacey nebula stuff. It was actually really easy to do. In addition to the booklet each event had its own postcard which you can see in the flickr slide show.

Also we created a lot of banners, I am really happy with how the came out. Check them out below.

The team also created curriclum boxes for small groups and ministies so they can communicate what we are doing this season. The box contained some things like and object lesson, a dvd from Steve, the renew booklets and a study guide. Check them out in the Flickr Slide show below.

We re-vamped the front page of our website so people can easily access the information about the Renew events and get plugged into what we are doing this season.

We also updated our program to communicate renew.

Well that about does it, like after any race I would recommend some rest, which I plan to do. Feel free to drop me a comment and let me know what you think.
